2015 Global Conference Recap

MBACSEA1659MBA CSEA experienced the BIG city of Dallas, TX at our signature event – the 2015 Global Conference! Over 490 attendees from schools, employers, sponsors and exhibitors gathered at the Omni Dallas for a robust lineup of speakers and topics, and of course lots of networking.

Attendees BUILT expertise through our peer-led best practice sharing sessions with something for everyone, from new to advanced practitioners on all ends of the career services and recruiting spectrum.

MBACSEA1341We were INSPIRED through our keynote speaker Ben Casnocha who shared new ways to define the employer employee relationship and TED-style innovation talks from Ashley Goodall, Craig Fisher and Stacy Zapar who discussed the latest strategies in recruiting and performance management.

The networking was immense, and allowed attendees to GROW through targeted sessions for niche groups, structured entertainment opportunities and our Opening Reception complete with BIG tail gate games!

Additional highlights included:

  • We hosted our first pre-session for employer attendees, where Lisa Cummings facilitated meaningful conversation among employers.
  • We continued our successful pre-session for Career Center directors, where directors were able to share challenges among peers.
  • Sara Canaday took it down to a personal level in her B.I.G. talk about investing in personal success.
  • And of course our ever-popular gala event, where attendees enjoyed the Texas flair with diamonds, denim and line dancing!

Attendees shared the following about their experience:

MBACSEA1273“As a newcomer to the field, the conference immediately made me feel a part of close-knit community of innovative professionals who care deeply about their students’ success.”

“Even though I have been in the profession for a number of years,I found it difficult to choose amongst programs; almost all of them seemed appealing and relevant.”

“This truly was the best conference I have ever attended. Relationships were formed, and the depth of friendliness was outstanding along with the colloborative spirit.”

MBACSEA1214The event wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and efforts of our conference committee, and especially conference co-chairs Ashley Bowes Johnson and Rebecca Cook.
